Counseling background
Luke has 30 years experience as a counseling services supervisor
  and director, and counselor in the field of family therapy, marital
  therapy, therapy for children and teens, and other therapy. He has
  a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from the acclaimed University
  of Michigan School of Social Work in Ann Arbor, MI.

Luke is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and
  Family Therapist in the State of Michigan. He is also certified
  as a Trauma and Loss Consultant.

Luke was a Fellow in the Pastoral Care and Counseling Training Program
  at the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas, is a member of the
  Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW), and is listed as a
  therapist in the roster of the International Council for Psychoanalytic
  Psychology of the Self.

Religious background
Luke has a Master of Divinity Degree (MDiv) from Concordia Lutheran
  Seminary in St. Louis, Mo. He is an ordained minister in the Michigan
  District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, and has served
  as a Lutheran parish pastor for 10 years. He has served as Director
  of Care for Professional Church Workers and families in Michigan.

Luke is certified at the Fellow level in the American Association of
  Pastoral Counselors, and has been endorsed by the Inter-Lutheran
  Coordinating Committee of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
  America and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod for Specialized
  Pastoral Care.
